Why We Built This Site
Louisiana gives the public broad access to many court and public records, subject to laws that restrict sealed, juvenile, adoption, mental-health, and protected-identifier material. The hard part in Catahoula Parish is figuring out which office holds the file. The Clerk of Court handles district-court filings, certified copies, marriage licenses, successions, conveyance records, mortgage records, and eClerksLA access. The Sheriff's Department manages local jail and custody questions, while the District Attorney handles prosecution, traffic diversion, misdemeanor, felony, child-support, and worthless-check workflows.
